A little about me: My name is Katie. I'm a small town country girl from Southeast Nebraska. I was raised up on a farm with horses, cattle, hogs, chickens, crops and gardens, and more! I am the wife of a pilot and officer in the US Marine Corps. Together he and I have had the privilege to live in places such as Pensacola, FL, Corpus Christi, TX, and currently San Diego, CA! Our Jack Russell Terrier, Bella, and our horses, Flirt, JD, and Whiskey travel with us everywhere we go. Even when we are stationed in another state, I travel back to Nebraska several times throughout the year. In addition to photography I also love cooking, country music, fishing, target shooting, and spending lots of time with my friends and family.
A little about my photography: I have had an interest in photography since I was little bitty taking part in 4-H photography projects and contests with my Kodak Star 110 camera and photographing everything from the barn cats to the barn door. As the years have gone by my interest continues to grow and I continue to develop my skills, upgrade my equipment, and further my knowledge.
I have been rewarded by being published in magazines, winning a few photography contests, and gaining interest, business, and support from my family, friends, and new clients. I created a business whose name was inspired by one of my very own horses, Sheza Shootingstar, a beautiful Paint mare who has often been found in front of my lens.
I specialize in portraits (high school seniors, family, children, engagements), equine, and pet photography. I also enjoy photographing equine related events and an occasional wedding.
Thank you so much for visiting my site and supporting me in my ambitions and work!
